CHAPTER 2. DEVELOPMENT OF CAPACITY CHARGES
Current and Recommended Capacity Charges, Non - residential
The City currently charges new connections for non - residential (commercial or industrial)
customers a capacity charge based on flow, BOD and SS loads for each connection. These loads,
multiplied by the capacity charge unit costs shown in Table 2 -3, yield a capacity charge applicable
to each new connection. Capacity charges for hypothetical "high strength" and "medium strength"
connections (both with wastewater discharge of 3,000 gallons per day) and a "low strength /low
flow" connection (with wastewater discharge of 600 gallons per day), using current and
recommended capacity charge unit costs, are shown in Table 2 -5.
