CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Consent Calendar items are considered for approval by the City Council with one single <br />action. As described above in Item 7, Amendment of Consent Calendar, the City Council <br />may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of presentation or discussion. <br />Members of the public who have requested to address the Council regarding items remaining <br />on the Consent Calendar may do so for up to 3 minutes per item with a maximum of 5 <br />minutes for all items. Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by <br />title. <br />Item 8.C.3.b. was removed from the Consent Calendar to Item 9, Items Removed from <br />Consent Calendar. The remaining items on the Consent Calendar were approved by <br />the following vote: <br />M/S /C Prola and Cutter. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />A. Minutes of the Meeting of July 18, 2011. Approved as submitted. <br />B. Minutes of the Special Meeting of July 25, 2011. Approved as submitted. <br />C. Reports on City Council Committees. <br />Civic and Cultural Committee Meeting of July 19, 2011. Accepted as submitted. <br />2. Disaster Council Meeting of July 15, 2011. Accepted as submitted. <br />3. Rules and Communications Committee Meeting of July 25, 2011. Accepted as <br />submitted. <br />a. COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: Schedule consideration of an <br />ordinance banning the use of polystyrene foam food service ware. <br />The City Council approved this recommendation. <br />b. COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: Schedule review and discussion <br />of the two proposed district maps, and indicating its preference for the 4% <br />variance map. (Moved to Item 9, Items Removed from Consent <br />Calendar.) <br />C. COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: Schedule training on the Social <br />Media Policy at a City Council meeting in early 2012, then subsequently <br />schedule consideration of resolutions approving the Social Media Policy and <br />accompanying Council Handbook guideline. <br />The City Council approved this recommendation. <br />
