CONSENT CALENDAR Consent Calendar items are considered for approval by the City Council with one single action. As described above in Item 7, Amendment of Consent Calendar, the City Council may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of presentation or discussion. Members of the public who have requested to address the Council regarding items remaining on the Consent Calendar may do so for up to 3 minutes per item with a maximum of 5 minutes for all items. Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by title. Item 8.C.3.b. was removed from the Consent Calendar to Item 9, Items Removed from Consent Calendar. The remaining items on the Consent Calendar were approved by the following vote: M/S /C Prola and Cutter. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 A. Minutes of the Meeting of July 18, 2011. Approved as submitted. B. Disaster Council Meeting of July 15, 2011. Accepted as submitted. 3. Rules and Communications Committee Meeting of July 25, 2011. Accepted as submitted. a. COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: Schedule consideration of an ordinance banning the use of polystyrene foam food service ware. The City Council approved this recommendation. b. COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: Schedule review and discussion of the two proposed district maps, and indicating its preference for the 4% variance map. (Moved to Item 9, Items Removed from Consent Calendar.) C. COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: Schedule training on the Social Media Policy at a City Council meeting in early 2012, then subsequently schedule consideration of resolutions approving the Social Media Policy and accompanying Council Handbook guideline. The City Council approved this recommendation.
