City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: October 17, 2011 <br />Staff Report <br />File Number: 11 -250 <br />Agenda Section: CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: 8.C. <br />TO: City Council <br />FROM: Lianne Marshall <br />Interim City Manager /Executive Director <br />BY: Sandra Spagnoli <br />Chief of Police <br />FINANCE REVIEW: James O'Leary, Interim Finance Director <br />TITLE: Staff Report for Approval of a Non - Professional Services Agreement Between <br />the City of San Leandro and Roebbelen Contracting for Fence Around the <br />Police Department Parking Lot <br />:7x916] LTA LTA 1;101117AIIQ01K <br />Staff recommends Council approve the Non - Professional Services Agreement with <br />Roebbelen Contracting for the amount of $55,798.00, to construct and install a security <br />fence, with one (1) single slide gate and two (2) walk -in gates, around the Police Department <br />patrol vehicle parking lot. <br />BACKGROUND <br />On August 30, 2011, the City's Purchasing Division issued an Invitation for Bids for the <br />construction and installation of a fence for the Police Department parking lot. Six firms <br />submitted bids. The low bid response was submitted by Roebbelen Contracting Inc. at <br />$55,798.00. <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />The new agreement will cost the Police Department $55,798.00 for the security fence. The <br />funding used for this project will come from the Police Department's State asset seizure <br />account. <br />Budget Authority <br />There are adequate funds budgeted in account number 146 -21- 017 -5240. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />None. <br />City of San Leandro Page 1 Printed on 10/12/2011 <br />
