Previous Citv Council Action(s • On March 21, 2011, by Resolution No. 2011 -065, specifications and called for bids for the subject project • On May 16, 2011, by Resolution No. 2011 -093, Andes Construction Applicable General Plan Policy City Council approved the plans and City Council awarded the contract to Goal 52 - Ensure that local water, sewer, storm drainage, and solid waste facilities are well maintained; improvements meet existing and future needs; and land use decisions are contingent on the adequacy and maintenance of such facilities. Environmental Review Through CEQA review under Class 15, Minor Land Subdivisions, of Title 5, Chapter 1 of the San Leandro Administrative Code, this project was deemed Categorically Exempt. Summary of Public Outreach Efforts Letters were sent to property owners notifying them of construction dates and times. No parking signs were posted 72 hours prior to the start of enforcement. Fiscal Impact The total cost of the project was $550,000.00. The cost of the construction contract was as follows: Original Contract $425,010.00 Contract Change Orders $ 4,275.10 Total Contract Amount $429,285.10 Change order items included manual compaction of the subgrade to account for the clayey soil encountered along the alignment of the trench and additional excavation and restoration costs associated with the sandy area encountered along the trench. The sanitary sewer improvement was funded using the Water Pollution Control Plant Enterprise funds approved as part of the FY 2009 -10 budget in CIP Account No. 593 -52 -247.
