ALAMEDA COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION <br /> TRANSPORTATION FUND FOR CLEAN AIR (TFCA) PROGRAM <br /> APPENDIX A: <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND PROPOSED EXPENDITURE PLAN <br /> Project Number. 11 <br /> Project Sponsor. City of San Leandro <br /> Project Title: San Leandro LINKS Shuttle <br /> TFCA Funds Allocated: $47,500 <br /> Total Project Cost: $629,000 <br /> Project Description: <br /> The project sponsor will use the TFCA funds for FYs 11/12 and 12/13 operations for the San <br /> Leandro LINKS Shuttle. The LINKS shuttle runs two 32- passenger vehicles between the San <br /> Leandro BART station and West San Leandro during commute hours. Service is provided <br /> every 20 minutes, Monday through Friday from approximately 5:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and again <br /> from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. From the San Leandro BART station, it makes 23 stops on a circuit <br /> including Davis, Doolittle, Farallon, Fairway and Alvarado streets. <br /> The free LINKS shuttle serves an area that is largely bypassed by AC Transit. Service is <br /> provided by contract with MV Transportation and managed by the San Leandro <br /> Transportation Management Organization. <br /> Project Schedule: <br /> Project costs incurred prior to July 5, 2011 are not eligible for reimbursement. <br /> Estimated Start Date: July 2011 <br /> Final Report Due Date: Within 3 months of completion of the project, but no later than 3 <br /> months following the termination of the Agreement. <br /> Project Monitoring Requirements: <br /> Final Report: Form 1 — Ridesharing, Shuttles, Transit Information, Rail/Bus Integration, <br /> Smart Growth, and Traffic Calming Projects <br /> The Final Report form is included as Appendix E. <br />
