• The Agency will continue working with Madison Marquette on the redevelopment <br />of Bayfair Center, specifically as it relates to implementation of the Transit <br />Oriented Development Strategy and the Expansion Parcel Study for an <br />underutilized 2.5 acres site. <br />West San Leandro /MacArthur Boulevard Project Area <br />• Agency staff will begin planning for the development of a Marina Boulevard <br />Specific Plan to coordinate planning along a crucial connection between the <br />Kaiser Medical Center and the shoreline. To date, planning related to this priority <br />area has been delayed due to the impact of State actions related to <br />redevelopment funding <br />• Agency will continue work on establishment of a Business Assessment District to <br />construct Eden Road, currently a dirt road, to improve traffic circulation in the <br />Davis /Doolittle intersection and provide necessary access to currently blighted <br />properties. <br />Housing <br />• Issuance of tax exempt bonds for the Alameda at San Leandro Crossings once <br />the nonprofit housing developer, BRIDGE Housing Corporation, is ready to <br />proceed with construction. The bonds will be repaid through the $9.1 million Set - <br />Aside loan discussed above and approved by the Redevelopment Agency in <br />2009. <br />AGENCY LOAN STATUS <br />The Agency has eight loans in excess of $50,000 that are active as of June 30, 2011. A <br />summary of these loans, indicating the original loan amount, balance as of June 30, <br />2011, type of loan and status, is provided in the following table. <br />In 2008 -09, the Redevelopment Agency authorized a loan of up to $9.1 million to <br />BRIDGE Housing Corporation for the proposed 100 -unit affordable rental development <br />known as the The Alameda at San Leandro Crossings.
