City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: March 5, 2012 <br />Resolution - Council <br />File Number: 12 -075 Agenda Section: CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO: City Council <br />FROM: Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY: James O'Leary <br />Interim Finance Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW: James O'Leary <br />Interim Finance Director <br />TITLE: ADOPT: Resolution Declaring Nine Vehicles and One Street Striper Surplus, <br />Authorizing the Sale of One Truck to the San Leandro Unified School District <br />for $1,000, and Selling the Remaining Vehicles and the Striper at Public <br />Auction (authorizes the sale of items which have met the replacement criteria) <br />WHEREAS, Section 1 -6 -500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code authorizes the City's <br />Purchasing Agent to sell equipment which has become unsuitable or unnecessary for the City <br />purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, nine vehicles and one street striper have been identified as no longer <br />useful to City operations and should be declared surplus and sold; and <br />WHEREAS, one of the vehicles, a 2001 Ford 3 /4 ton truck was agreed to be purchased <br />by the San Leandro Unified School District for $1,000. <br />follows: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />Declares the 2001 Ford 3 /4 ton truck surplus and authorizes the sale to the San Leandro <br />Unified School District for $1,000; and <br />Following public notice as may be required by law and in accordance with Section <br />1 -6 -500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code, declares other listed equipment surplus and <br />authorizes the sale of eight vehicles and one street striper at public auction scheduled <br />Saturday and Sunday, March 23 and 24, 2012. <br />City of San Leandro Page 1 Printed on 212812012 <br />
