IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -016 <br /> RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING STANDARD COMPONENTS FOR THE CITY'S TRAFFIC <br /> SIGNAL SYSTEM TO ENSURE COMPATIBILITY <br /> WHEREAS, the City completed an Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) in <br /> Spring 2011 and; <br /> WHEREAS, to allow the traffic signal system to function at its full potential, the <br /> compatibility and performance of its major components must be ensured, and; <br /> WHEREAS, standardizing the traffic signal system components will allow the City <br /> and/or its contractors to purchase these components directly from vendors to eliminate price <br /> markups and; <br /> WHEREAS, standardizing the traffic signal system components will also reduce routine <br /> maintenance expenses, avoid extra training for new components, and decrease the inventory of <br /> replacement parts. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> The following sole source components are standardized as the City's traffic signal system <br /> devices: <br /> • Naztec Traffic Controller <br /> • Naztec Controller Cabinet Assemblies <br /> • EtherWan Ethernet Switch <br /> • COYOTE Dome Closure <br /> • Aldis Video Detection System <br /> • Econolite Video Detection System <br /> • Polara Navigator Accessible Pedestrian System (APS) <br /> • 3M Opticom Emergency Vehicle Preemption (EVP) <br />
