IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -019 <br /> RESOLUTION DECLARING NINE VEHICLES AND ONE STREET STRIPER SURPLUS, <br /> AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF ONE TRUCK TO THE SAN LEANDRO UNIFIED SCHOOL <br /> DISTRICT FOR $1,000, AND SELLING THE REMAINING VEHICLES AND THE STRIPER <br /> AT PUBLIC AUCTION <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1 -6 -500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code authorizes the City's <br /> Purchasing Agent to sell equipment which has become unsuitable or unnecessary for the City <br /> purposes; and <br /> WHEREAS, nine vehicles and one street striper have been identified as no longer useful <br /> to City operations and should be declared surplus and sold; and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the vehicles, a 2001 Ford 3 /4 ton truck was agreed to be purchased by <br /> the San Leandro Unified School District for $1,000. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> Declares the 2001 Ford 1/4 ton truck surplus and authorizes the sale to the San Leandro <br /> Unified School District for $1,000; and <br /> Following public notice as may be required by law and in accordance with Section 1 -6- <br /> 500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code, declares other listed equipment surplus and authorizes <br /> the sale of eight vehicles and one street striper at public auction scheduled Saturday and Sunday, <br /> March 23 and 24, 2012. <br /> Introduced by Councilmember Starosciak and passed and adopted this 5th day of March, <br /> 2012, by the following vote: <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Cutter, Gregory, Prola, Reed, Souza, Starosciak; <br /> Mayor Cassidy (7) <br /> NOES: None (0) <br /> ABSENT: None (0) <br /> ATTEST: AI tLA <br /> Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
