Construction was completed in compliance with <br />the contract documents. <br />Previous Actions <br />• On June 6, 2011, by Resolution No. 2011 -103, City Council approved the plans and <br />specifications and called for bids for the subject project <br />• On July 18, 2011, by Resolution No. 2011 -148, City Council awarded the contract to <br />Blossom Valley Construction <br />Applicable General Plan Policies <br />This project is consistent with General Plan Goal No. 21 - Rehabilitation of existing parks <br />policy. <br />Environmental Review <br />Through CEQA review under Class 15, Minor Land Subdivisions, of Title 5, Chapter 1 of the <br />San Leandro Administrative Code, this project was deemed Categorically Exempt. <br />Summary of Public Outreach Efforts <br />Public Meetings were held at the park on numerous occasions and signs were posted prior to <br />and during construction to inform patrons about the construction activities. <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />The total cost of the project was $550,000. The cost of the construction contract was as <br />follows: <br />Original Contract $402,776.00 <br />Contract Change Orders $107,704.51 <br />Total Contract Amount $510,480.51 <br />Change order items included: purchasing and installing the par course exercise equipment; <br />relocating a water service line; clearing coyote brush; installing additional rip -rap for erosion <br />control; and purchasing additional benches. <br />The project was funded using East Bay Regional Parks Measure WW funds approved as part <br />of the FY 2010 -11 budget in CIP Account No. 150 -38 -322. <br />Budget Authority <br />The Finance Department confirmed that sufficient funds were available in the aforementioned <br />account for the project. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />None <br />City of San Leandro Page 2 Printed on 312712012 <br />
