11. DECLARATION THAT PROJECT WILL NOT SIGNIFICANTLY AFFECT <br /> ENVI ROrVA /ENT: <br /> The proposed project will have no significant effect on the area's resources, cumulative or <br /> otherwise. <br /> 111. FINDINGS SUPPORTING DECLARATION: <br /> A. The project occurs within the City's existing and developed ROW and involves <br /> acquisition of a property that fornierly housed a gasoline station and acquisition of <br /> additional ROW on the east side of Bancroft Ave. and the west side of East 14 St. The <br /> acquired property will be used for roadway improvements and for installation of new <br /> landscaping. The proposed project is an appropriate use of the property. <br /> B. The proposed project has been reviewed according to the standards and requirements of <br /> the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and an Initial Study Environmental <br /> Evaluation Checklist has been prepared with a determination that the project will not <br /> have a significant impact on the environment and as long as the applicant complies with <br /> all identified mitigation measures. <br /> C. Potential impacts to hazards can be adequately mitigated as long as mitigation identified <br /> by staff is implemented prior to issuance of grading permits. The mitigation measures <br /> are conditions of approval. <br /> D. There is no evidence of historical or archaeological resources within the project area. <br /> Potential impacts to unknown resources can be adequately mitigated as long as <br /> mitigation identified by staff is implemented during the constntction phase.
