C & M Trailer Rentals, LLC 1/20/2012
2661 Alvarado Street, Unit #22
San Leandro, CA. 94577
510- 357 -5537
To Whom it may concern:
C & M Trailer Rentals is appealing the decision made on to revoke the CUP previously issued to the
business for the following reasons-
1. One of the findings indicated that erroneous information had been provided. This is untrue.
The owner represented that he would be operating a motorcycle and car trailer rental business and is
doing so. Consequently, he did not provide erroneous information or information that was misleading.
2. A second finding infers that the triple homicide that occurred was related to C & M Trailer
Rentals being out of compliance with the use of the facility. Damon McKinney did rent out the
facility. However, it ends there. The subsequent homicides that were committed happened after
the facility was closed and had nothing to do with the owner or the business. Him or the
business should not be connected to a tragedy that he did not cause nor was involved in.
3. 3. Lastly, the ad that Damon McKinney told police he posted on craigslist was done after
finding out about the city ordinance bill of $8,600. Had he known this at the beginning of the
application process, he wouldn't have went through with doing the business at this location but
too many investments had been made. All of this could have been avoided if Damon McKinney
was told about the cost of the ordinance before submitting an application and $1500 to the city
of San Leandro.
4. Business owner investment rights are being violated.
