Resolution - Council File Number: 12 -116 Agenda Section: PUBLIC HEARINGS — CITY COUNCIL Agenda Number: TO: City Council FROM: Chris Zapata City Manager BY: Luke Sims Community Development Director FINANCE REVIEW: Not Applicable TITLE: ADOPT: Resolution Approving the City of San Leandro U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Final FY 2012 -2013 Annual Action Plan (implements the Housing and Community Development Strategies of the FY 2010 -2014 Consolidated Plan and authorizes the execution of all related documents by the City Manager and submission of the Action Plan to HUD) WHEREAS, through provisions of the Housing and Community Development Act and the National Affordable Housing Act, the federal government has made block grant funding available to local communities for housing and community development activities; and WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro adopted, by Resolution No. 2010 -038 on April 19, 2010, the FY 2010 -2014 Consolidated Plan to implement the goals identified in the Acts; and WHEREAS, an Annual Action Plan (referred to hereinafter as "the Plan ") has been prepared reflecting the activities that the City proposes to fund and implement during FY 2012 -2013, and a copy of which is attached hereto; and WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro has held two public hearings, solicited public comment for thirty days by publishing a summary of the Plans in the newspaper and by providing the Plan at City Hall, in the City Clerk's office and Community Development Department, in the Main Library, and on the City's website; and WHEREAS, all public comments received, if any, were considered in the contents of the Plan; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends execution and submission of said Action Plan with Certifications as attached.
