The <br />Port of Oakiand, owner and operator of OAK, is committed to minimizing the effect of aircraft noise to the <br />greatest extent possible on surrounding communities while maintaining a safe and efficient air transportation <br />facility. The Airport Noise Management Office serves as a link between the public and aviation stakeholders. <br />Our staff strive to ensure that flights operate as quietly as possible and provide accurate and transparent <br />information about the noise management program to our community. <br />The Port of Oakland, in cooperative working relationships with local communities, has developed and <br />implemented a wide variety of aircraft noise abatement procedures and programs to mitigate the effects of <br />aircraft noise.
