Exhibit A: Proposed Amendments City of San Leandro Zoning Code - Article 19 <br />flows onto adjacent property, non - irrigated areas, walks, roadways, <br />parking lots, or structures. <br />B. Irrigation Audit Required for Existing Landscapes that Exceed One Acre All <br />existing landscapes that were installed before January 1, 2010 and are <br />over one acre in size shall conduct irrigation water use analyses, irrigation <br />surveys, or irrigation audits to evaluate water use. All landscape irrigation <br />audits shall be conducted by a certified landscape irrigation auditor. <br />4 -1916 Penalties <br />Water waste resulting from inefficient landscape irrigation is prohibited. Water waste <br />resulting from runoff leaving new or existing landscapes due to low head drainage, <br />overspray, or other similar conditions where water flows onto adjacent property, non - <br />irrigated areas, walks, roadways, parking lots, or structures shall be subject to penalties <br />as established in the City of San Leandro Municipal Code. Overspray and runoff may be <br />allowed if: (1) the landscape area is adjacent to permeable surfacing and no runoff <br />occurs; or (2) the adjacent non - permeable surfaces are designed and constructed to <br />drain entirely to landscaping. <br />AR.19 <br />Page 20 of 20 <br />
