IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -044 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO'S GENERAL LIABILITY <br /> SELF - INSURED RETENTION LEVEL FROM $1,000,000 TO $500,000 THROUGH THE <br /> CALIFORNIA JOINT POWERS RISK MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY <br /> WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro currently has a $1.000,000 Self - Insured Retention <br /> level through the California Joint Powers Risk Management Authority; and <br /> WHEREAS, a request to reduce the level to $500,000 effective July 1, 2012 has been <br /> presented to this City Council through the Finance Committee; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Finance Committee and the City Manager have recommended approval of <br /> reducing the Self - Insured Retention level to $500,000. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> That said $500,000 Self- Insured Retention level through the California Joint Powers Risk <br /> Management Authority is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby <br /> authorized. <br /> Introduced by Councilmember Cutter and passed and adopted this 7th day of May, 2012, <br /> by the following vote: <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Cutter, Gregory, Prola, Reed, Souza, Starosciak; <br /> Mayor Cassidy (7) <br /> NOES: None (0) <br /> ABSENT: None (0) <br /> ATTEST: — 1/1/, , aVL{.0 , <br /> Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
