Staff Report <br />File Number: 12 -246 Agenda Section: CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: 81. <br />TO: City Council <br />FROM: Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY: Mike Bakaldin <br />Public Works Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW: David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE: Staff Report for Resolution Approving a Non - Professional Services Agreement <br />between the City of San Leandro and Chrisp Company for Annual Street <br />Re- Striping <br />SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Staff recommends Council approve the Non - Professional Services Agreement between the <br />City of San Leandro and Chrisp Company for the amount of $62,780.00 to refresh the existing <br />lane markings on specified streets. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Public Works Department refreshes street markings in accordance with an established <br />area maintenance schedule. Each year the department maintains asphalt repair and <br />pavement markings in one of four established zones. The proposed contract for street <br />re- striping includes lane markings and cross walks on specified streets in the 2011 zone and <br />2012 zone (see attached list of streets). <br />The City's Purchasing Division issued an invitation for bids for the contract per Bid number <br />11- 12.007. Three firms submitted bids by the April 4, 2012 due date. The low bid response <br />was submitted by Chrisp Company in the amount of $62,780.00. <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />This agreement will cost $62,780.00.
