Construction is now complete. <br />Previous Actions <br />• On September 7, 2010, by Resolution No. 2010 -109, the City Council authorized the filing <br />of an application for funding under the CMA Block Grant Program, committing the <br />necessary non - federal matching funds, and assuring completion of the project <br />• On September 7, 2010, by Resolution No. 2010 -110, the City Council authorized the <br />appropriation of $807,000 of CMA Block Grant Program funds for the Marina Boulevard <br />Street Rehabilitation Project <br />• On May 2, 2011, by Resolution No. 2011 -085, the City Council approved the plans and <br />specifications for the subject project and authorized the calling for bids <br />• On June 20, 2011, by Resolution No. 2011 -121, the City Council approved the Program <br />Supplement Agreement No. 019 -N to administering Agency -State agreement No. 04- <br />5041 R to accept federal funds for the subject project <br />• On July 5, 2011, by Resolution No. 2011 -131, the City Council awarded the construction <br />contract to Gallagher & Burk, Inc. <br />Applicable General Plan Policies <br />This action is consistent with Streets and Highways Goal No. 16 of the General Plan and <br />Action Item 16.03 -A: Funding for Maintenance. <br />Environmental Review <br />Caltrans Local Assistance deemed the project qualified for a Categorical Exclusion under the <br />National Environmental Policy Act per 23 CFR 771.117(d), activity (d)(1), modernization of a <br />highway by resurfacing, restoration, rehabilitation, reconstruction, adding shoulders, or adding <br />auxiliary lanes. <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />A summary of the construction contract with Gallagher & Burk, Inc. is below: <br />Original Contract $1,279,866.00 <br />Change Orders $106,452.95 <br />Total Contract Amount $1,386,318.95 <br />Including the design cost of $17,423.50 and construction administration cost of $44,694.88, <br />the total project cost was $1,448,437.33. <br />Budget Authority <br />Funding allocations for the subject project was as follows: <br />1. $807,000.00 of CMA Block Grant funds in Account No. 150 -38 -329, appropriated in the <br />FY 2010 -11 budget; <br />2. $458,178.72 of Measure B Streets & Roads funds in Account No. 144 -38 -308, <br />City of San Leandro Page 2 Printed on 511512012 <br />
