IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> • <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2002 — 86 (2922) <br /> RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT TO BAY CONSTRUCTION <br /> COMPANY FOR THE MANOR FARNSWORTH SHOPPING CENTERS <br /> PROJECT NUMBER 01- 02.014 <br /> Recitals <br /> WHEREAS, The City of San Leandro did on February 14, 2002, publicly open, <br /> examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing work described in the <br /> Economy Market, Porter Shopping Center and Manor Shopping Centers Improvement <br /> Project Bid #01- 02.014; and <br /> WHEREAS, the proposals were submitted to the Community Development <br /> Department which has recommended that the proposal hereinafter mentioned is the <br /> lowest responsive bid for doing the work; and <br /> WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bidder is duly licensed by the State of <br /> California to undertake the work involved in the Project Bid, and has been determined by <br /> staff to be a responsible contractor; and <br /> WHEREAS, the services to be provided for this project are consistent with the <br /> City of San Leandro General Plan goal to revitalize neighborhood shopping centers; and <br /> WHEREAS, CDBG funds have been identified for this project. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does resolve to <br /> reject all proposals and bids except the herein mentioned, and hereby waives any <br /> irregularities in the proposal or bid of the lowest responsible bidder and hereby awards <br /> the contract for doing said work to the lowest responsible bidder, Bay Construction <br /> Company at the prices named in its bid. <br /> Introduced by Council Member Santos and passed and <br /> adopted this 17th day of June 2002 by the following called vote: <br /> Members of the City Council <br /> Ayes: Council Members Badger, Glaze, Grant, Loeffler, Nardine, Santos ( 6 ) <br /> Noes: None ( 0 ) <br /> Absent: Mayor Young ( 1 ) <br /> 1 <br /> / <br /> Attest: 4/1L, 4/1L, � I v <br /> Ga e Peter/ n, City Clerk <br /> G: Community Development/Resolutions/June 17, 2002 Bay Construction Resolution <br />
