Develop, advertise and present to San Leandro Landlords a two -hour educational <br /> seminar on Fair Housing. <br /> Type of Assistance: Audits <br /> 1. Conduct 24 housing audits for San Leandro. A steering committee comprised of <br /> representatives from the Cities of Hayward, San Leandro, Union City, and <br /> Alameda County shall convene to review the methodology for fiscal year <br /> 2002/2003 audit. <br /> 2. Offer education to those landlords who are part of the audit and appear to have <br /> violated fair housing laws. <br /> Type of Assistance: Expand Outreach and Education <br /> 1. With City assistance, contact all owners of apartment complexes to offer them fair <br /> housing training. <br /> 2. Provide quarterly public service announcements. <br /> 3. Contact 5 community groups that provide services for minority communities for <br /> presentations on fair housing issues. <br /> 4. Distribute 1,200 flyers to libraries, churches, and stores. <br /> 5. Twelve fair housing presentations to shelters and civic organizations. <br /> 6. Offer fair housing training to staff and clients of 12 San Leandro social services <br /> agencies. <br /> B. Tenant/Landlord Information.
