The project used <br />$200,000 of CDBG, TDA, and Measure B funds to construct 27 ramps and 3 pork chop <br />islands. <br />Previous Actions <br />• On July 18, 2011, by Resolution No. 2011 -145, City Council approved the plans and <br />specifications and called for bids for the subject project <br />• On September 6, 2011, by Resolution No. 2011 -155, City Council awarded the contract to <br />AJW Construction <br />Applicable General Plan Policies <br />Policy 14.07 - Pedestrian Environment - Strive to achieve a more comfortable environment for <br />pedestrians in all areas of San Leandro. <br />Environmental Review <br />This project was determined to be exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act <br />(CEQA), pursuant to Section 15302. <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />The total cost of the project was $200,000. The cost of the construction contract was as <br />follows: <br />Original Contract $128,900.00 <br />Contract Change Orders $28,649.93 <br />Total Contract Amount $157,549.93 <br />Change order items included installing an APS pedestrian push button system at San Leandro <br />Boulevard and Marina Boulevard and constructing additional ramps at locations requested by <br />citizens. <br />Budget Authority <br />The project was funded using TDA, CDBG, and Measure B funding approved as part of the <br />FY 2011 -12 budget in CIP Account Nos. 150 -36 -291, 150 -36 -295, 144 -36 -298 and <br />165 -43 -230. <br />The Finance Department confirmed that sufficient funds were available in the aforementioned <br />accounts when the project was awarded. <br />PREPARED BY: Nicole Noronha Castelino, Assistant Engineer, Engineering and <br />Transportation Department <br />City of San Leandro Page 2 Printed on 611212012 <br />
