IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -068 RESOLUTION APPROVING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) AGREEMENTS FOR FY 2012 -2013 BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO AND CDBG SUBRECIPIENTS FOR PUBLIC SERVICES GRANTS TO BUILDING FUTURES WITH WOMEN AND CHILDREN (SAN LEANDRO SHELTER); DAVIS STREET FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER FOR BASIC NEEDS PROGRAM AND COMMUNITY COUNSELING PROGRAM; EDEN COUNCIL FOR HOPE & OPPORTUNITY FOR TENANT - LANDLORD COUNSELING AND RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM; GIRLS INCORPORATED OF ALAMEDA COUNTY; SAFE ALTERNATIVES TO VIOLENT ENVIRONMENTS (SAVE); AND SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES FOR SENIORS, INC. (SOS) WHEREAS, CDBG public services agreements between the City of San Leandro and Building Futures With Women and Children (BFWC) - San Leandro Shelter; Davis Street Family Resource Center (DSFRC) for Basic Needs Program and Community Counseling Program; Eden Council for Hope and Opportunity (ECHO Housing) for tenant - landlord counseling services and Rental Assistance Program; Girls Incorporated of Alameda County (Girls Inc.); Safe Alternatives to Violent Environments (SAVE); and Service Opportunity for Seniors, Inc. (SOS), copies of which are attached, have been presented to this Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended the approval of said agreements. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That said agreements are hereby approved and execution thereof is hereby authorized for the CDBG public services grant amounts of $14,718 for BFWC's San Leandro Shelter; $24,530 for DSFRC Basic Needs Program; $7,008 for DSFRC Community Counseling Program; $10,512 for ECHO Housing's tenant- landlord services; $5,000 for ECHO Housing's Rental Assistance Program; $7,008 for Girls Inc.; $7,667 for SAVE; and $7,667 for SOS.
