• <br /> IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2002 - 112 (2698) <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONTINUED <br /> PARTICIPATION IN THE ALAMEDA COUNTY <br /> ABANDONED VEHICLE ABATEMENT AUTHORITY <br /> (Provides for the Extension of the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement <br /> Program Until May of 2013) <br /> WHEREAS, the Alameda County Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Authority (AVAA) <br /> was formed in 1993 and the City of San Leandro is an active member; <br /> WHEREAS, the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program has contributed approximately <br /> $443,900.00 and allowed for the abatement of approximately 10,300 vehicles in the City of San <br /> Leandro; <br /> WHEREAS, Senate Bill 106 allows for the extension of the Abandoned Vehicle <br /> Abatement Program with the approval of Alameda County and a majority of the cities <br /> comprising a majority of the population of the incorporated areas; <br /> WHEREAS, it is beneficial to the City of San Leandro to have the Abandoned Vehicle <br /> Abatement Program continue; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> That the City of San Leandro continues its participation in the Alameda County <br /> Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Authority until May of 2013. <br /> Introduced by Council Member Glaze and passed and adopted this 15 day <br /> of July, 2002 by the following called vote: <br />
