National Trends in Youth Marijuana Use <br />Trends in youth past-month use of marijuana mirror the <br />trends for youth past-month use of any illicit drug: <br />Past-month use of marijuana among 10th graders <br />increased from 13.8% in 2008 to 17.6% in 2011. <br />Past-month use of marijuana among 12th graders <br />increased from 18.3% in 2006 to 22.6% in 2011. <br />Moreover, drug use has increased among certain <br />youth minority populations since 2008 <br />Illicit drug use has increased by 43 percent among <br />Hispanic boys and 42 percent among African American <br />teen girls since 2008. <br /> <br />
