File Number: 13-192 <br />reconstruction methods due to reduced raw materials and hauling. <br />Analysis <br />Based on information obtained from the pavement condition survey and discussions between <br />Engineering and Transportation Department and Public Works Services Street Maintenance <br />staff, the following street segments were selected for treatment as part of the Annual <br />Overlay/Rehabilitation 2012-13 project: <br />·Bigge Street from Adams Avenue east to end <br />·Fremont Avenue from Alvarado Street to Floresta Boulevard <br />·Floresta Boulevard from Fremont Avenue to the Interstate 880 concrete overpass <br />·Farnsworth Street from the Interstate 880 concrete overpass to 270 feet to the <br />southwest <br />·Aladdin Avenue from Alvarado Street east to end <br />The segment of Aladdin Avenue listed above is an additive bid item that will only be <br />incorporated into the contract if the bid prices received are sufficiently low. <br />Other work items include: <br />·Upgrade or replacement of curb ramps along project street segments to meet current <br />Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards <br />·Installation of rubber speed cushions on Donald Avenue, Peters Street, and Zelma <br />Street <br />·Repaving of the AC transition adjacent to the railroad crossing on Lewelling Boulevard <br />·Miscellaneous striping and pedestrian-related improvements at the railroad crossings <br />on Williams Street, Marina Boulevard, Fairway Drive, and Lewelling Boulevard <br />·Repair of trench settlement on Bancroft Avenue between Dutton Avenue and San <br />Leandro Creek <br />Applicable General Plan Policies <br />This action is consistent with Streets and Highways Goal No. 16 of the General Plan and <br />Action Item 16.03: Regularly maintain City streets and traffic control devices to ensure that <br />streets operate safely and efficiently. <br />Environmental Review <br />This project is categorically exempt from CEQA per Section 15301(c) - Existing Facilities. <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />The total project cost including design, contingencies, construction management and ADA <br />upgrades is estimated at $2,052,043.05. <br />Budget Authority <br />Page 2 City of San Leandro Printed on 4/30/2013
