City of San Leandro Meeting Date: June 3, 2013 Resolution - Council Agenda Section:File Number:13-218 CONSENT CALENDAR Agenda Number: TO:City Council FROM:Chris Zapata City Manager BY:Uchenna Udemezue Engineering & Transportation Director FINANCE REVIEW:Not Applicable TITLE:ADOPT: Resolution Approving Plans and Specifications and Authorizing the City Manager to Call for Bids for Monarch Bay Drive Bridge Repair, Project No. 150-38-324 (provides for the repair of the bridge deck and eroded banks at a cost of $375,000 using FY 11-12 Measure B funds and Federal Grant funds) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro has reviewed and considered the Categorical Exemption prepared for the Monarch Bay Drive Bridge Repair Project, Project No. 150-38-324, and any comments received, and hereby finds that the project will not have a significant impact on the environment. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: 1.That the specifications, special provisions and plans for said project are hereby approved; and 2.That the City Manager is authorized to call for bids and that upon calling for bids the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice thereof once in the official newspaper of this City; and 3.That said bids shall be submitted to the office of the City Clerk on or before the date and time specified in the public notice, at which such specified date, time and place said bids will be publicly opened and read; and 4.That said bids, after being publicly opened and read, will be calculated by the Engineering and Transportation Director ; and 5.That the results of the bidding and the calculation of the Engineering and Transportation Director will be reported to the City Council at its regular meeting thereafter .
