IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2013-074 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CURTAIN CALL PERFORMING ARTS AND THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO FOR SPACE IN THE CIVIC CENTER SOUTH OFFICES FOR OFFICE, CLASSES, AND THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS USES WHEREAS,the City of San Leandro ("City")has been leasing the approximately 2,100 square feet of space located in the South Offices Building at the San Leandro Civic Center since 1999 to the California Conservatory Theater of San Leandro("CCT")for the purposes of providing theater productions and classes to the San Leandro area, and for office functions; and WHEREAS, Curtain Call Performing Arts("Curtain Call")has been a party to that lease agreement since 2012; and WHEREAS,the current lease agreement between CCT,the City and Curtain Call will expire on June 30, 2013; and WHEREAS, CCT is transitioning out of theater production and will not continue leasing the space from the City and the City and Curtain Call wish to execute a new lease agreement; and WHEREAS,the lease is for a five-year term, and will expire June 30,2018; and WHEREAS,the lease contains various protections for the City and requirements of Curtain Call in conducting activities in the space; and WHEREAS,under the lease Curtain Call will pay an annual $600 utility fee plus an annual $1 rental fee. NOW,THEREFORE,the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That said lease agreement between the City and Curtain Call is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized. *****
