IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -109 <br />RESOLUTION DESIGNATING A DAY AND ESTABLISHING A FEE FOR PERFORMING <br />MARRIAGE CIREMONIL -S AT CITY HALL <br />WHEREAS; the City Council desires to celebrate marriage equality in San Leandro by <br />designating a day in 2013 when civil marriage ceremonies will be conducted at City Hall, within <br />the City Council Chamber, or any other public spaces in the Civic Center Complex; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council shall set fees reasonable to recover the cost of offering this <br />service. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San <br />Leandro designates a day in 2013 as "San Leandro Marriage Equality Day ", and opens the City <br />Council Chamber, and other areas within City Hall or the Civic Center Complex, for the conduct <br />of civil marriage ceremonies; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the fees established for civil marriage ceremonies are <br />a non - refundable S50 processing fee and a $75 per hour (minimum of one hour) fee, which <br />includes the services of a Deputy Marriage Commissioner, for use of the City Council Chamber <br />or publicly accessible areas within the Civic Center Complex. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Prola and passed and adopted this 15th day of July, 2013, <br />by the following vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: COUncilmembers Cutter, Gregory, Lee, Prola, Reed, Souza; Mayor Cassidy (7) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: None <br />Arrrs,r: ��l�l tico, �1 ► � <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />(0) <br />
