EXHIBIT A-1
Deliverable Requirements
1. Contractor is responsible for producing contract documents that are complete and buildable.
This responsibility is not discharged by issuance of documents for construction or receipt of permits.
2. Contractor is the lead designer and as such shall personally review all pages of all contract
documents for completeness, correctness, and absence of conflicts.
3. All information required to build the project shall be shown. If required information is not
shown on the plans or in the details then the location of said information shall be clearly noted.
4. Plans shall clearly show the work. Text shall not be written over lines or other text. Existing
items/work/features shall be clearly labeled as such. Text shall plot at 3/32"tall minimum. Details
shall not be called as similar unless the actual detail clearly notes what occurs at the similar location.
Details shall be cut with the proper orientation. Details with reverse orientation shall be noted as OH
(opposite hand) on the drawings. Words shall be completely spelled out unless an abbreviation is
defined on the drawings. Plans and specs shall clearly indicate required work, for example a new
reinforcing dowel shown into existing concrete shall be accompanied by the note that the contractor
shall drill and epoxy said reinforcing(if that is the intent). New features/work shall be shown with a
heavier line weight than existing features/work.
5. Details, plans, elevations, etc. shall be arranged and numbered on the sheets in a regular
consistent pattern.
6. Specifications shall be written and printed with times new roman font at 12 point
7. Specifications shall be edited such that only materials, procedures, and execution specific to
this project are included.
8. No work shown on the plans or included in the specs shall be `design build' unless it is
specifically listed herein, or approved in writing by a representative of the city.
9. Plans and specs shall not be ambiguous. Where a minimum dimension or spec is given a
maximum shall also be shown.
10. Plans and specs shall be coordinated to precisely specify the work. To the extent possible
information will be shown in one location (i.e. either plans or specs, but not both).
11. Due consideration shall be given to construction methods. Details shall be buildable. Where
items are envisioned to be precaset or prefabricated it shall be noted on the drawings. Plans shall
differentiate between field welding and shop welding.
Fiber Installation Nextlink Manor/Farnsworth Exhibit A-1
Page I of 2
