1• <br /> IN THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2002 - 119 (2949) <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONTRACTUAL <br /> SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH BMS DESIGN GROUP FOR THE MARINA <br /> CONNECTIONS PLAN <br /> RECITALS <br /> WHEREAS, the San Leandro Marina area is a valuable community resource worthy of <br /> enhancement; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City has existing recreation and hospitality leaseholders and is <br /> conducting an economic feasibility study to determine if there is a market for further hospitality <br /> uses; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Marina does not currently feature a cohesive urban design program <br /> linking the existing uses to each other and to the opportunity sites targeted for future <br /> development; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City advertised from July 1 —July 26, 2002, a Request for Qualifications <br /> (RFQ) for waterfront design firms in accordance with City Purchasing Division guidelines; and <br /> WHEREAS, BMS Design Group's response to the RFQ is considered the most thorough <br /> and relevant of the seven responses received; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro hereby approves the <br /> attached Contractual Services Agreement and directs the City Manager to execute the Agreement <br /> and any amendments necessary to implement the scope of work, terms, and conditions thereof. <br /> 1 <br />
