File Number: 13-424 <br />to $114,000. Pleasanton Engineering Contractors, Inc. was determined by staff to be the <br />apparent lowest responsible bidder. The engineer's estimate for the work was $31,420. Staff <br />verified that the contractor has a valid license with the Contractors State License Board. <br />Previous Actions <br />On July 1, 2013, by Resolution No. 2013-098, the City Council approved a resolution <br />approving Plans and Specifications and Calling for Bids <br />Environmental Review <br />On January 30, 2013, the project was determined Categorically Exempt under the California <br />Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15301, Existing Facilities, Class 1. <br />Permits and/or Variances Granted <br />A City Building Permit is approved for this work and will be issued to the contractor . <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />The total cost of the project is estimated at $75,000. The design phase cost was $17,000 and <br />the construction phase is estimated at $58,000. <br />The project cost is reimbursable through a combination of the vehicle owner’s automobile <br />insurance and the City’s self -insurance. <br /> <br />Budget Authority <br />The improvements will be funded using General Fund Capital Improvement project account <br />No. 210-38-346. $50,000 was appropriated by mid-year adjustment per a memo signed by <br />the City Manager dated May 8, 2012.
