Matter of-Appeal by-R. Barragan, X. Thomas, and <br /> J. Glass, Applicants, of the Board of Zoning Adjustments' Denial of CU- <br /> 95-3; Conditional Use; to Construct a Triplex on a Lot with Less-than- <br /> the Required, 100-Foot, Minimum Width (75 Feet) ; 13170 Neptune Drive; <br /> Assessor's Parcel Number 79A-565-39-2; RM-1800 Multiple-Family <br /> Residential District. (1098) <br /> On motion by Council Member Myers, who moved its approval , seconded by <br /> Council Member Polvorosa, with'Mayor Corbett-absent (1) , and carried by <br /> a majority vote (6) , the City Council granted the Appeal of R. <br /> Barragan, X. Thomas, and J. Glass, Applicants, of the Board of Zoning <br /> Adjustments' Denial of CU-95-3, with the Conditions of Approval , <br /> including Conditions related to increased front and rear setbacks. <br /> 9. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> A. Council Member Perry thanked Bayfair Mall for sponsoring San Leandro <br /> High School Grad Night and Kids Safety Day. She also congratulated the <br /> San Leandro High School graduates. <br /> Council Member Perry said she attended the Roosevelt Elementary School <br /> Playground Dedication and commended the School District, Parents <br /> Association, and the City for a nice event and a beautiful playground. <br /> Council Member Perry said the City Hall at the Farmers' Market was very <br /> enjoyable. <br /> B. Council Member Polvorosa commended the High School graduates. <br /> Council Member Polvorosa commended the Maintenance Division for his <br /> annual tour of City facilities and Flood Control facilities. He said <br /> the City needs a better working agreement with Flood Control and noted <br /> there is a lot of overgrowth in the canals. <br /> C. Council Member Loeffler said the San Leandro High School graduation was <br /> held with great dignity despite the rain. <br /> Council Member Loeffler said the restaurant near Georgia Way is <br /> impacting parking and proposed bumper stickers for residents. <br /> Council Member Loeffler referred to a newspaper article which said <br /> Pleasanton is spending $50,000 to design and build a skateboard park on <br /> one-third acre. He said Santa Cruz' skateboard park has been <br /> litigation-free since 1978. <br /> Council Member Loeffler said the sidewalk by the BART parking lot <br /> between Davis Street and the entrance is raised and needs to be looked <br /> at. <br />
