Council Member Loeffler said some neighbors held National Night Out <br /> activities on Saturday and Sunday, as part of block parties. He said <br /> the Block Captains' Dinner with the Police Department should be <br /> reinstituted. He said National Night Out should be promoted on Cable <br /> TV and perhaps video-taped. <br /> Council Member Loeffler said he attended the Farmers' Market and heard <br /> many favorable responses to it. He said people still don't seem to <br /> know the Library is open on Sundays. <br /> Council Member Loeffler asked about the status of the PUC complaint. <br /> The City Attorney said the final complaints have been signed and will <br /> be filed with the PUC shortly. The , Assistant City Manager said <br /> Southern Pacific has provided cost estimates and recommendations for <br /> repairs to Farallon, Alvarado, etc. , and staff is reviewing them and <br /> will summarize the next steps. Council Member Loeffler said the public <br /> needs to know the cost of crossing repairs. <br /> F. Council Member Myers said he attended four National Night Out events. <br /> Council Member Myers said Marina Faire held its Annual Picnic. He said <br /> it was well attended and noted Council Members Kerr and Perry had <br /> attended as well <br /> Council Member Myers requested that staff look into providing voting <br /> lights for the Lecture Hall . <br /> Council Member Myers requested a status report on V-94-5, a room <br /> addition at 14289 Santiago Road. <br /> Council Member Myers suggested the City Council Community Services <br /> Subcommittee meet to review activities at the Marina. <br /> Council Member Myers referred to Mr. Kitzmann's comments and said the <br /> City Council should consider attending leadership programs on an <br /> individual basis. <br /> G. Mayor Corbett thanked the community and the Council Members for <br /> participating in National Night Out. <br /> Mayor Corbett suggested the City look into working with San Leandro <br /> Collaborative on Youth Issues on the City's proposed community survey. <br /> She said the Collaborative has funding available that might be used in <br /> a cooperative project. <br /> Mayor Corbett said she attended a workshop on leadership at the League <br /> of California Cities Conference and suggested the Council build on <br /> their work with David Jones. She suggested they work together to <br /> develop rules of ethics, codes of conduct, and an understanding of what <br /> they expect from each other. She suggested having a trainer come to <br /> the Council for leadership training. <br />
