PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person. The public is invited <br /> to make any comments related to Agenda items (including San Leandro <br /> Redevelopment Agency, San Leandro Parking Authority, and San Leandro <br /> Industrial Development Authority) or other items of public interest at this <br /> time. Comments regarding Public Hearing items will be heard during the <br /> Public Hearing portion of the Agenda. <br /> A. Justin Agrella, 1670 - 142nd Avenue, asked what the cost of speed bumps <br /> would be, how diversionary they would be, and how they will affect <br /> traffic in the area. <br /> B. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, said the Leadership San Leandro <br /> Program is partisan, and the City is sponsoring a political action <br /> committee through its involvement in the program. He said items such <br /> as Senate Constitutional Amendment 2 should be listed under <br /> Correspondence. He said the matter of earthquake insurance is <br /> political and should be open to the public. <br /> C. Dee Kerry, 697 Juana Avenue, thanked the City Council for considering <br /> the pilot traffic control program and said her street has very bad <br /> traffic; people drive in excess of 40 mph and drag race, and it is <br /> intimidating to children. <br /> D. Janet Gebhart, 880 Juana Avenue, said she has seen an increase in <br /> traffic and speeding on her street. She said the pilot program will <br /> help. <br /> E. Jeff Kerry, 697 Juana Avenue, said animals have been killed and <br /> children have been hit by cars when riding their bikes. He said <br /> straight streets with heavy traffic are dangerous and not good for <br /> property values. <br />
