Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - November 27, 1995 Page - 7 - 7. NEW BUSINESS The City Clerk noted that the ordinance listed under New Business Item B provided in the Agenda for the form of the ordinance only and would be placed on the December 18, 1995, Agenda for action as an urgency ordinance. Steve Harman, Human Resources Director, presented the staff report related to New Business Items A, B, C and D. He discussed the meet and confer process with the involved employee groups. He discussed the key points . related to each item and the implementation process. He reviewed the changes to the medical program, the furlough program, salary increases, and amendment to the PERS package. He discussed the Memoranda of Understanding, the City Manager's salary increase, the PERS requirements related to deferred compensation and the furlough, and the 2% at 55 retirement provision. He thanked Barbara Hutchins and the San Leandro Management Organization negotiating team, and Paul Zolfarelli and the San Leandro City Employees Association negotiating team for a professional job which focused on the issues in a constructive way. Matter of Memoranda of Understanding Between the City of San Leandro and the San Leandro Management Organization and the San Leandro City Employees' Association, and Salary Increase for the City Manager. - Minute Order No. 95-81, Motion Approving Memorandum of Understanding Between the City of San Leandro and the San Leandro Management Organization (provides for a 30-month contract with the San Leandro Management Organization for the period July 1, 1995 through December 31, 1997) . (2134) On motion by Council Member Myers, who moved its approval , seconded by Council Member Polvorosa, with Council Member Kerr absent (1) , and carried by a majority vote (6), the City Council approved the Memorandum of Understanding Between the City of San Leandro and the San Leandro Management Organization. - Minute Order No. 95-82, Motion Approving Memorandum of Understanding Between the City of San Leandro and the San Leandro City Employees' Association (provides for a 30-month contract with the San Leandro City Employees' Association for the period July 1, 1995 through December 31, 1997) .
