MINUTES <br /> SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> OCTOBER 4, 1993 <br /> The City Council of the City of San Leandro met in Regular Session in the City <br /> Council Chambers of the City Hall on the above date at 8:00 p.m. , Mayor Faria <br /> presiding. <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG <br /> 3. ROLL CALL <br /> PRESENT: Council Members Corbett, Kerr, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Faria <br /> ABSENT: Council Member Nahm <br /> 4. PRESENTATIONS <br /> Mayor Faria presented a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in <br /> Financial Reporting to the City Finance Office for the 1991-92 <br /> Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. He said the award was made by the <br /> Government Finance Officers' Association of the United States and Canada, <br /> and he congratulated the Finance Office on its fine job. <br /> 5. PUBLIC COMMENTS Public Comments are limited to 3 minutes per person. <br /> A. Lavern Anderson, 1495 - 159th Avenue, Representing Bonaire Civic <br /> League, noted the Chez Doucet Restaurant property is again full of <br /> weeds and thistles, and there is a lot of garbage at the back of the <br /> building. <br /> B. Rick Richards, 335 Peralta Avenue, thanked the Mayor, City Council , <br /> staff, and the community for their support of the Alzheimer's Memory <br /> Walk on Saturday. He said it went very well . He also thanked the <br /> businesses that provided food and door prizes. <br /> C. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, referred to the Minutes of the <br /> meeting of September 20, and said, if he is elected Mayor, he will <br /> curtail or eliminate the Mayor's salary. He also spoke regarding the <br /> Roberts' Landing initiative and said he had challenged the City <br /> officials to state their positions as to the initiative. <br />
