MINUTES <br /> SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> NOVEMBER 15, 1993 <br /> The City Council of the City of San Leandro met in Regular Session in the City <br /> Council Chambers of the City Hall on the above date at 8:00 p.m. , Mayor Faria <br /> presiding. <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG <br /> 3. ROLL CALL • <br /> PRESENT: Council Members Corbett, Kerr, Myers, Nahm, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Faria <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> 4. PRESENTATIONS <br /> None <br /> 5. PUBLIC COMMENTS Public Comments are limited to 3 minutes per person. <br /> A. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, said the public should have the <br /> opportunity to speak both before and after the City Council meeting and <br /> during the Redevelopment Agency meeting. He said there is not enough <br /> time to cover everything he wants to discuss. He spoke regarding <br /> Measure D, which he said is a can of worms, and AB 939, which he said <br /> is one of the lousiest pieces of legislation ever written. He said <br /> making recycling mandatory will create problems, recycling is not cost <br /> effective, and there is no market for it. <br /> 6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> A. The minutes of the meeting of November 1, 1993, were approved as <br /> submitted. . <br /> B. Resolution No. 93-233, Resolution Approving Revised Joint Powers <br /> Agreement for Abatement of Abandoned Vehicles and Related to the <br /> Alameda County Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program (revises guidelines <br /> consistent with the guidelines of the Department of the California <br /> Highway Patrol instead of the Department of Motor Vehicles) . (2698) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Myers, who moved its adoption, seconded by <br /> Council Member Kerr, and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Kerr, Myers, Nahm, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Faria ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br />
