Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - January 18, 1994 Page - 10 - <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) <br /> The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, asked if Southern Pacific <br /> Transportation Company had anything to do with this matter and why the <br /> Ordinance was needed at this time. <br /> Mr. Silva explained the right of way is not needed due to the <br /> realignment of Alvarado Street. In response to questions from Mr. <br /> Filipovich, Mr. Silva said the road has already been built. <br /> There being no further comments from the public, on motion of Council <br /> Member Polvorosa, seconded by Council Member Myers, and carried <br /> unanimously, the Public Hearing was closed. <br /> The following Ordinance was then introduced: <br /> Ordinance No. 94-01, An Ordinance Vacating a Portion of Alvarado <br /> Street, Southwest of the Southern Pacific Transportation Company <br /> Railroad Tracks (provides for vacation by the City of a remnant portion <br /> of Alvarado Street) . (1007) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Nahm, who moved that it be passed to <br /> print, seconded by Council Member Corbett, and carried by the following <br /> called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Kerr, Myers, Nahm, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Faria ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br />
