He said there <br /> is a study in Washington regarding costs of satisfying handicapped <br /> requirements. He said individuals may have to purchase liability <br /> insurance. <br /> Dana Johnson, Farrelly Drive, said partitions cannot be installed in <br /> the garage because people couldn't get out of their cars. He said this <br /> system is in place at Seagate, where he used to live, and it works <br /> beautifully. <br /> Peter Shutts said the storage units could be redesigned to provide <br /> adequate clearance. <br /> There being no further comments from the public, on motion of Council <br /> Member Polvorosa, seconded by Council Member Galvan, and carried <br /> unanimously, the Public Hearing was closed. <br /> The following Motion and Resolution were then introduced: <br /> Minute Order No. 94-27. Matter of PD-94-1; Planned Unit Development; <br /> to Permit Construction of 6, 2-Story, 4-Unit Multi-Family Residential <br /> Buildings for Sale as Condominiums; and Tentative Map. Tract 6654; <br /> Tentative Map Creating 6 Parcels with a 4-Unit Building Located on Each <br /> Parcel , Providing for Condominium Ownership and Creating Easements for <br /> Vehicular Access and Parking; and A-94-3; Reclassification of Property <br /> from RM 1800 to RM 1800 (PD) ; on a 1 . 178 Acre-Parcel Located on the <br /> South Side of Thornton Street Between San Leandro Boulevard and <br /> Carpentier Street, Including the Property at 1761 Carpentier Street <br /> Presently Developed with a Single-Family Home That Will Be Removed; <br /> Assessor's Parcel Number 75-27-2-1 and 8; Peter and Theodore Spinardi <br /> Investments; RM 1800 24 Units Per Gross Acre. (1009/1099) <br /> On motion by Council Member Galvan, who moved its approval , seconded by <br /> Council Member Polvorosa, and carried by the following called vote, the <br /> City Council certified the Negative Declaration as complete for PD-94- <br /> 1 ; Approved the Rezoning of A-94-3; and Approved the Planned Unit <br /> Development, PD-94-1, GDP/PDP, subject to Conditions of Approval , for <br /> a 24-Unit condominium unit located at Thornton Street and San Leandro <br /> Boulevard. <br /> AYES: Council Members Galvan, Kerr, Loeffler, Myers, Perry, <br /> Polvorosa; Mayor Corbett ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br />
