Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - May 16, 1994 Page - 6 - <br /> NEW BUSINESS (continued) <br /> Council Member Loeffler asked for a report in six months as to how this <br /> proposal is working. <br /> On motion by Council Member Kerr, seconded by Council Member Galvan, <br /> and carried unanimously, the City Council approved the following <br /> Resolution. The motion included direction to staff to return this <br /> matter to the City Council for modification of parking fees when the <br /> cost of the capital improvements have been fully amortized. <br /> The following Resolution was then introduced: <br /> Resolution No. 94-80, Resolution Amending Title 6, Chapter 4 of the San <br /> Leandro Administrative Code Relating to Fees and Charges for Services <br /> Provided by City Departments (Parking Fee for Estudillo Garage; <br /> provides for reduction in the rental rate charged by the City) . <br /> (1022) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Kerr, who moved its adoption, seconded by <br /> Council Member Galvan, and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Galvan, Kerr, Loeffler, Myers, Perry, <br /> Polvorosa; Mayor Corbett ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> C. Matter of An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of San Leandro <br /> Adding Sections 4-11-660 and 4-11-665 to, Amending Sections 4-11-610, <br /> 4-11-620 and 4-11-630 of, and Renumbering Sections 4-11-660, 4-11-665 <br /> and 4-11-670 of Title IV, Chapter 11 of the San Leandro Municipal Code, <br /> Relating to Dangerous Dogs. <br /> Police Lieutenant John Bischoff presented the staff report. He <br /> explained the revised definition of dangerous dogs and said this <br /> ordinance gives the City more control in designating and controlling <br /> dangerous dogs. He described the hearing process and the manner in <br /> which the officer determines if dogs are dangerous and whether they <br /> should be returned to their owners. He said the amendments to the <br /> ordinance allow the officer to impose conditions for release of <br /> animals, such as construction of improvements to fences, etc. In <br /> response to City Council questions, he said it is difficult to identify <br /> dogs that have killed cats in cases in which there are no witnesses, <br /> and there is no forensic expertise available that is affordable. <br />
