NEW BUSINESS <br /> A. Resolution Approving Memorandum of Understanding Between the City of <br /> San Leandro and the Oro Loma Sanitary District Related to the <br /> Implementation of Recycling Programs. <br /> The City Manager explained that this Memorandum of Understanding would <br /> implement a recycling program in the Oro Loma portion of San Leandro. <br /> He said San Leandro's service area is split 60/40 between the City and <br /> Oro Loma. He said the City has been working with Oro Loma to extend <br /> their recycling program into the corporate limits of the City which are <br /> served by Oro Loma, and the City also will be working with San Leandro <br /> Disposal to provide recycling for the portion of the City served by the <br /> City. He said timing is critical . If the program is not put in place <br /> by the end of the fiscal year to meet County requirements, funding will <br /> not be available, and Oro Loma will be unable to pursue this program. <br />
