Council Member Galvan said one aspect of the Northridge tour that <br /> stayed with him was the number of piles of debris on streets throughout <br /> the City. <br /> P. Council Member Galvan thanked the Police Department and the Mayor for <br /> their efforts in protecting the community from a potentially dangerous <br /> parolee. <br /> Q. Mayor Corbett invited everyone to the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on <br /> December 9, at 5:30 p.m. , followed by the "Miracle on East 14th <br /> Street, " sponsored by the Downtown Business Association. She also <br /> noted December 10 would be the San Leandro Marina's annual "Lighted <br /> Boat Parade. " <br /> R. Mike Oliver, City Manager, noted that City offices will be moving into <br /> the new addition this weekend. He said the phones and computers will <br /> be off on Friday, and City offices will be closed but will be back in <br /> business on Monday. He said, using the one-stop shop element, all of <br /> the first floor will be dedicated to serving the customer. Employees <br /> have been trained, and there is one employee whose sole responsibility <br /> will be to see that the customers are served. He said the official <br /> Open House will be on January 12. <br /> 10.
