PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG <br /> 3. ROLL CALL <br /> PRESENT: Council Members Galvan, Kerr, Loeffler, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Corbett <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> 4. PRESENTATIONS <br /> A. Commendation for Al Gallardo, Executive Director, Alameda County <br /> Transportation Authority. <br /> The City Clerk read the Commendation. Council Member Kerr said Mr. <br /> Gallardo has been a leader in transportation in Alameda County for many <br /> years. <br /> 5. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person. The public is invited <br /> to make any comments related to Agenda items (including San Leandro <br /> Redevelopment Agency, San Leandro Parking Authority, and San Leandro <br /> Industrial Development Authority) or other items of public interest at this <br /> time. Comments regarding Public Hearing items will be heard during the <br /> Public Hearing portion of the Agenda. <br /> A. John Klein, the City's Housing Authority Representative, submitted the <br /> Authority's Annual Report and said the program is well run and well <br /> managed. Mayor Corbett and Council Member Kerr thanked Mr. Klein for <br /> his work on behalf of the City. <br /> B. Glenn Forbes, Acting as Attorney for Mr. Shragge, Property Owner of 993 <br /> Beecher Street, spoke regarding Agenda Item 7.A. , Interim Ordinance. <br /> He restated some of the provisions of the Ordinance, then asked <br /> questions regarding the legal non-conforming status of truck terminals <br /> under the Zoning Code and how this Ordinance would affect that status. <br /> He asked how approval of the Ordinance would affect an application for <br /> zoning approval for a truck terminal . <br /> Assistant City Attorney Steve Mattas said the application would be <br /> reviewed based upon existing law at the time of submittal of the <br /> application; and, if this Ordinance is in effect, it would prevent <br /> action on the application. <br />
