Removed from Consent Calendar to New Business. The following Resolution was introduced: RESOLUTION NO. 92-23 (2024) RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBER TO THE HUMAN RESOURCES COMMISSION DISTRICT 2 MARJORIE ELWOOD Introduced by Council Member Perry, who moved its adoption, seconded by Council Member Faria, and carried by the following called vote: AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; Mayor Karp ( 7 ) NOES: None ( 0 ) ABSENT: None ( 0 ) Council Member Perry introduced Marjorie Elwood. She said Mrs. Elwood is a native Californian, who has lived in San Leandro since 1943; is a graduate from San Francisco State College; has taught Kingergarten for 33 years in the San Leandro Unified School District; and has two daughters, Christine and Katherine. Mrs. Elwood has remained involved in education and has served on the San Leandro School Board District Advisory Committee and is the educational representative from the Delta Zeta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, an educational society. She described other activities she has worked in, including working as a literacy tutor through the Alameda County Literacy Program. B. ORDINANCE NO. 92-01 (1007) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 89-017 VACATION OF PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAYS TO DELETE THE EASEMENT RESERVED FOR PUBLIC UTILITIES ALONG A PORTION OF CARPENTIER STREET Introduced by Council Member Faria, who moved that it be passed to print, seconded by Council Member Corbett, and carried by the following called vote: AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; Mayor Karp ( 7 ) NOES: None ( 0 ) ABSENT: None ( 0 )
