Resolution Appointing Member to Human Resources Commission (District 2) <br /> - Marjorie Elwood. Removed from Consent Calendar to New Business. <br /> The following Resolution was introduced: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 92-23 (2024) <br /> RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBER <br /> TO THE HUMAN RESOURCES COMMISSION <br /> DISTRICT 2 <br /> MARJORIE ELWOOD <br /> Introduced by Council Member Perry, who moved its adoption, seconded by Council <br /> Member Faria, and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> Council Member Perry introduced Marjorie Elwood. She said Mrs. Elwood <br /> is a native Californian, who has lived in San Leandro since 1943; is a <br /> graduate from San Francisco State College; has taught Kingergarten for <br /> 33 years in the San Leandro Unified School District; and has two <br /> daughters, Christine and Katherine. Mrs. Elwood has remained involved <br /> in education and has served on the San Leandro School Board District <br /> Advisory Committee and is the educational representative from the Delta <br /> Zeta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, an educational society. She <br /> described other activities she has worked in, including working as a <br /> literacy tutor through the Alameda County Literacy Program. <br /> B. ORDINANCE NO. 92-01 (1007) <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 89-017 <br /> VACATION OF PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAYS <br /> TO DELETE THE EASEMENT RESERVED FOR PUBLIC UTILITIES <br /> ALONG A PORTION OF CARPENTIER STREET <br /> Introduced by Council Member Faria, who moved that it be passed to print, <br /> seconded by Council Member Corbett, and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br />
