He said cuts can be made intelligently and he is confident the City Council has the information they need to make it work. H. Kai Bender, 231 Begier Ave. , said the City has to live within its means. He said, in his opinion, the answer is a combination of reductions and possibly new taxes. He said the situation should be one of cooperation, not confrontation. He said all ideas have to be explored and, if we work together, we can work something out. Regarding the City Hall retrofit, he said the retrofit should be done first and then the expansion should be done when the financial situation permits. 6. CONSENT CALENDAR A.
