Joe Savio, 14485 Wiley Street, said a number of people are concerned about the closure of the Williams Street overpass at the same time as the Floresta overpass is closed. He said there is concern that this will create difficulties for emergency access, but also people in the area will be unable to evacuate the area in case of an earthquake or other disaster. Council Member Polvorosa said the Fire Chief will be providing a letter for the Homeowners' Associations to put in their newsletters and staff is working with Cal -Trans, but it is difficult to get Cal -Trans to change their schedule. 6. CONSENT CALENDAR A. The minutes of the meeting of May 4, 1992 were approved as submitted. B. Resolution Approving Plans and Specifications and Calling for Bids for Thrasher Park Improvements, Project No. 91-8613 (provides for park improvements, including parking lot, fence height extension, site work, and landscape and irrigation) . Removed from the Consent Calendar to New Business. C. RESOLUTION NO. 92-111 (2706) RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS FOR DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL OF IMPROVEMENTS AT 872 MARINA BOULEVARD PROJECT NO. 92-8394-1 Introduced by Council Member Faria, who moved its adoption, seconded by Council Member Myers, and carried by the following called vote: AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Kerr, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa; Mayor Karp ( 7 ) NOES: None ( 0 ) ABSENT: None ( 0 ) D.
