Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - August 17, 1992 Page - 27 - <br /> 9. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> A. Council Member Perry said she was pleased with the recommendations made <br /> by the City's paving crew to handle the graffiti problem on Halcyon <br /> Drive. She said this is a cost-effective, efficient way of dealing <br /> with this project, and she commended the crew. <br /> B. Council Member Polvorosa commended Judy Leiberman, Recycling <br /> Coordinator, for her suggestion for recycling bins in City parks. <br /> C. Council Member Kerr asked for a report on the City's policy of charging <br /> Business Licenses on duplex units. <br /> The City Manager noted that staff is preparing a report on this matter <br /> and the possibility of charging Business License Fees for single-family <br /> rentals. He noted it is difficult to track single-family rentals, <br /> however. <br /> D. Council Member Perry noted that she will be a judge for the Helen <br /> Putnam Awards. She said the emphasis is on cultural diversity and <br /> partnerships. <br /> The City Manager noted the City of San Leandro has two applications in <br /> for this Award. <br /> 10.
