MINUTES <br /> SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> NOVEMBER 16, 1992 <br /> The City Council of the City of San Leandro met in regular session in the City <br /> Council Chamber of the City Hall on the above date at 8:00 p.m. , Mayor Karp <br /> presiding. <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG <br /> 3. ROLL CALL <br /> PRESENT: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Kerr, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Karp <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> 4. PRESENTATIONS <br /> None <br /> 5. PUBLIC COMMENTS Public Comments are limited to 3 minutes per person. <br /> A. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, distributed documents related to <br /> an upcoming Public Hearing regarding Manor Baptist Church and School . <br /> Steve Meyers, City Attorney, said the City Council could not listen to <br /> or discuss this matter prior to the Hearing. Mr. Filipovich said he <br /> understood that; he was only handing out the items to save postage <br /> costs. <br /> Mr. Filipovich asked the City Council to state whether or not they are <br /> in favor of the three-minute time limit which has been applied to <br /> Public Comments. He said, if he were here to "praise Caesar, not bury <br /> him, " he would be allowed more time to speak. He said World War II was <br /> fought to preserve the right to speak. He again asked if the City <br /> Council supported the time limit. There was no response. <br /> 6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> A. The Minutes of the meeting of November 16, 1992 were approved as <br /> submitted. <br /> B. The Minutes of the meeting of November 9, 1992 were approved as <br /> submitted. <br />
