Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - June 3, 1991 Page - 11 - <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) <br /> The following Motion was then introduced: <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 91-48 (1009) <br /> MOTION REGARDING LAKE CHABOT TERRACE DEVELOPMENT <br /> 13575 LAKE CHABOT ROAD <br /> 60-ACRE FORMER SAN LEANDRO ROCK QUARRY PROPERTY <br /> PRE-ZONING APPLICATION <br /> A-89-9 <br /> On motion by Council Member Santos who moved its approval , seconded by Council <br /> Member Polvorosa and carried by the following called vote, the City Council <br /> approved the Pre-zoning Application A-89-9. <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 6 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSTAIN: Council Member Faria ( 1 ) <br /> (c) PD-89-10; Appeal of Applicant, Signature Properties. Inc. , from <br /> Planning Commission Denial of Planned Unit Development (General <br /> Development and Precise Development Plan Combined); a Proposal to <br /> Construct 126 Detached, Single-Family Residential Units on the <br /> 60-Acre Site Formerly Occupied by the San Leandro Rock Quarry; <br /> Assessor's Parcel Numbers 79-100-001, 002; 13575 Lake Chabot Road; <br /> Signature Properties, Inc. ; Alameda County - "A" (Agricultural ) . <br /> This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above <br /> matter, June Catalano noted the broad issues that have arisen <br /> related to this proposed project. <br /> 1 . Is the project consistent with the Land Use Element of the <br /> General Plan; she noted the General Plan calls for 3 units per <br /> acre, the project proposes 2 units per acre. <br /> 2. She noted that the Housing Element of the General Plan addresses <br /> the need for professional and executive housing in San Leandro. <br /> 3. She said the housing on the site should be of high quality and <br /> cost. <br /> 4. She discussed the geology of the site. She noted that the <br /> Hayward Fault and a fault trace run through the property. She <br /> • <br /> said under the provisions of the Alquist Priolo Act, the trace <br /> at the center of the site must be treated as active since it <br /> cannot be proven to be inactive. <br /> Ed Danehy, Alameda County Engineering Geologist, responded to <br /> questions from the City Council related to the seismic aspects <br /> of the site. Mr. Danehy said he had looked at engineering reports <br /> from all engineers who did any types of surveys on the site.
