Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - June 17, 1991 Page - 12 -
PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued)
Council Member Perry asked why the Symphony had not submitted a
financial statement. They said they had submitted their budget to the
City Manager. Mr. Randall said he had received the budget, but it had
been marked 'confidential ' so had not been distributed.
The City Council asked questions regarding the number of concerts to
be held in San Leandro, what kind of fundraising activities had taken
place, and whether funding had been received from other cities. The
City Council also asked why the Symphony representatives had not
attended the City Council Work Session. The representatives responded
that there had been a communication error, and they had failed to
attend.
The City Council recommended that the budget be adopted with a
modification to the funding for the Orchestra. Also, that the
Orchestra be funded with $2,500.00 initially and be requested to
provide financial reports, and that the matter be reviewed in six
months, with a possibility of an additional $2,500.00 funding.
There being no further comments from the public, on motion of Council
Member Polvorosa, seconded by Council Member Corbett, and carried
unanimously, the Public Hearing was closed.
The following Resolutions were then introduced:
RESOLUTION NO. 91-109 (1051/2318)
RESOLUTION AMENDING TITLE 6, CHAPTER 4 OF THE
SAN LEANDRO ADMINISTRATIVE CODE RELATING TO
FEES AND CHARGES FOR SERVICES PROVIDED BY
CITY DEPARTMENTS
Introduced by Council Member Santos who moved its adoption, with the deletion
of the proposed changes in fees for the Planning Division and direction that
those fees remain unchanged, seconded by Council Member Polvorosa and carried
by the following called vote:
AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos ( 6 )
NOES: None ( 0 )
ABSENT: Mayor Karp ( 1 )
